7 Simple Steps for Those Who Suffer with Impulsive Spending and/or Have ADHD

7 Steps for those who suffer with impulsive spending and/or have ADHD:

1. List your income and expenses.

2. Subtract your income from your expenses.

3. Figure out what to do with the leftover money from your expenses. (This is usually where people struggle the most.) Give your leftover money a place to go, whether it's towards debt, savings, investments, vacations, etc.

4. Write down due dates for your bills on a calendar.

5. Look at your bank statements at least twice a week.

6. Try to wait 24-48 hours before making purchases that aren’t necessities.

7. Have someone keep you accountable. It's hard to start a debt-free journey alone.
